I have been in the travel industry for 18 years and have specialised in the cruise industry for the past 10. I began my travel career straight after high school, and over time, my interest in cruising grew, leading me to specialise in this area in 2015. I love cruising because it truly has something for everyone to enjoy – excellent value for money, fantastic entertainment, beautiful food, great customer service, and the experience of waking up somewhere new each day while discovering some of the most fascinating destinations in the world.
I’ve been lucky enough to travel to over 20 destinations worldwide.
I love Spain and the Balearic Islands – Menorca is especially beautiful, with its tapas, sandy beaches, and relaxed pace of life. I also love the Canary Islands, which offer beautiful weather all year round.
Europe is where I specialise, but through my years of travel experience, I’m also very familiar with many destinations around the world, including the Caribbean.
Highlights include Celebrity Silhouette and Celebrity Apex for their incredible atmospheres. Azamara Journey, Queen Mary 2 and Holland America Statendam impressed me with great food, plenty of live music, and wonderful itineraries. And MSC Virtuosa offered a water park, plenty of dining options, and lots of entertainment.
P&O Azura was one of my first cruises and remains a favourite, while P&O Iona was a standout family trip to the Canaries with excellent food and entertainment. I also enjoyed a mini cruise to Belgium on P&O Britannia with family. However, Royal Caribbean is my favourite cruise line. Anthem of the Seas was a brilliant family holiday, Ovation of the Seas was the largest ship I’ve sailed on, and Navigator of the Seas holds special memories from a fantastic trip with my husband in 2016.
I’ve been lucky to sail on many different cruise ships over the years, and I can’t wait to experience NCL and Virgin Voyages in the future – they both look amazing.
