I’ve worked in Travel and Marketing for over ten years for a number of travel companies and cruise agencies, from city tours and breaks to ski and cruise, and as a result have got to travel the world researching, documenting, videoing and providing feedback on my experiences. When I’m not cruising the seven seas for work or pleasure (not much difference to be honest!), my job is making sure the website is packed full of as much information as possible to help you find the best cruise holiday for you with our amazing team of Cruise Experts.
Working at Stewart Travel is the best job in the world for me. As not only do I get to travel the world but also write and document my experiences surrounded with incredible, like-minded people for whom travel is a passion like nowhere else I’ve ever been. I’ve been lucky enough to get to experience life on board loads of ships over the years - so many I’ve lost count! But real highlights have to be being one of the first people to go aboard Explora Journey’s Explora I which is a brand-new, ultra-luxury cruise yacht. The level of entertainment, service and dining is like nothing I’ve experienced before or since while on a cruise around the Greek Islands just made it all the more special. Explora definitely has given me a taste for more luxury cruises in the future!
When not cruising I love hiking and biking, and exploring old cities. From an active perspective, nothing has beaten the Alaska and Rocky Mountaineer Cruise I went on for my honeymoon when it comes to getting immersed in the wildlife, stunning scenery and local culture. The Norwegian Fjords was a close second due to getting to hike up and swim in a glacier and paddleboard up a fjord. I also loved my Mediterranean sailing with Virgin Voyages taking in Barcelona, Pisa and Corsica for a series of city breaks all rolled into one trip. Next on my bucket list has to be more expedition-style itineraries building on my Alaska and Fjords trips to hopefully Antarctica, and Iceland and Greenland one day - watch this space!
Donna listened to our requirements and then came up with several options for us. Throughout our deliberations she listened patiently and then refined her offers until we found the perfect holiday. At this point we said we wanted to go ahead with the booking and throughout the process she kept us informed until the confirmation paperwork was sent to us. Not only was the service first class but the pricing was very competitive too. Would thoroughly recommend Stewart Travel and Donna in particular!
