On formal nights Teenagers are expected to follow the evening's dress code just as closely as adults.
On board ship Teens are still expected to wear formal dress when it is a formal evening. There may be a little more leeway in terms of the degree of formality for children and teenagers, however, they are expected to be dressed up more than they would be during the daytime.
For boys, polo shirts, smart shirts and dress trousers is acceptable for most evenings and girls can wear dresses, skirts and blouses or sweaters.
The type of clothing to avoid would be shorts, t-shirts, ripped jeans etc.
Most teens love the idea of getting glam for an evening but if they really don’t want to take part they can always opt for the buffet option where casual is acceptable.

Ms Foskett / May 2026
Very good. I had specific requirements re flight times for our trip to Australia as my husband has dementia. Olive was very patient arranging things and going through all the fine details. Prior to my visit to the shop Andy had sourced flights and options available to me. Always happy to return to the Bishop Briggs branch .
