There are many cruises leaving from Scotland on a regular basis throughout the summer months from various cruise ports across the country.
The main cruise ports in Scotland are Greenock, Leith and Rosyth with cruises available to the Mediterranean, Norway and the Baltics, around Great Britain and even across the pond to the sun drenched Caribbean.
Although there is a vast choice of destinations to choose from, there isn’t quite as much choice when it comes to cruise lines and cruises generally only depart from these ports within the spring and summer months between March and October.
Currently Fred Olsen, Cruise & Maritime, Silversea, Azamara and Hebridean Island Cruises all operate out of Scottish ports. Although there may only be five cruise lines to choose from there is something to suit all tastes. From Fred Olsen, known for their fantastic value for money UK cruising, to the ultra-luxury high end Silversea.
Cruise & Maritime are also known for their no-fly UK cruise departures sailing from 8 ports throughout the UK and in 2015 they will be introducing their latest addition to the fleet, Magellan. This brand new ship will be predominantly based in London but throughout March and April 2015 she will have several dates leaving from Dundee to the breathtaking Norwegian Fjords.
